ACTIVITIES - first year | Romanian Voices

Third meeting - Piatra Neamt, Romania
9th - 13th May 2013

All in all, the delegations of Italy, Spain, Turkey, Hungary and Poland enjoyed their time spent in Romania. They had the great opportunity to experience Romanian food and customs live, to sing, dance and socialize with the native people, to attend classes in a Romanian School of Arts, to meet artists - to-be and professionals, to interact with the Romanian teachers and get acquainted with the Romanian school system. They also worked together to fulfill the targets of the Comenius project “Our Voices Across Europe”. Their singing together Ode to Joy, and the Comenius Anthem, accompanied by the choir and the orchestra was a real challenge, but a great satisfaction.

During the visit in our school, at the fine arts workshops our guests take part in the lessons.

All partners attended together with parents and officials the magnificent concert “Ode To Joy”- the foreign students joined the Romanian students in singing the Comenius Anthem and the famous “Ode to Joy” by Ludwig van Beethoven.

The teachers‘ meeting at Neamt County Council Conference Hall where the delegations were welcomed by the deputy president, Mrs. Emilia Arcan. The teachers of the Comenius teams had a fruitful round of decision taking as regarding the next meetings in the project.

Students and teachers went visiting some of the most famous sites of the region -Târgu Neamt Citadel, Popa’s Folk Art Museum Agapia Monastery, the History and Ethnography Museum in Târgu Neamt,the "Cucuteni Art Museum“ in Piatra Neamt, the County History Museum, the Red Lake and Bicaz Gorges.

The Musical Mosaic - a short programe prepared by the Romanian students, followed by a karaoke show and the dances of the foreign delegations. The farewell party and the meeting of the hosting families rounded a gorgeous day and a wonderful week spent together.
